We took one for a spin to see if it's worth installing atop of your new AMD or Intel processor.

There is a fraction capacity left for a mild tweak on your mainstream CPU, but we'd advise not to push it too far voltages wise, which makes sense for a product like this. At 35 bucks you will receive a product that lives up to the brand name as once again, the cooler is exceptionally silent under regular operation.

Although we were quite disappointed with the thermal performance of the be quiet! Pure Rock 2, we can’t argue with the ultra-low noise levels it produces. If you are focused on building a low noise output system, you really can’t beat be quiet! in this area.

The be quiet! Pure Rock 2 is the quintessential cooler for a no-nonsense build. Well-built and tidily presented in either silver or black, the tower cooler is a breeze to install, steers clear of memory slots, runs nice and quiet, and can cope with the thermal demands of today's premium CPUs.

All things considered, the be quiet! PURE ROCK 2 is a very decent CPU cooler but a cheap resister and some rubber padding could make it better.
