Find videocard prices |

We begin to suspect AMD/ATI had a very clear idea what the performance of the GeForce 9600 was going to be like when they decided to cut its product prices. Crysis shows very small performance gaps between both products, where the Radeon is a bit faster in single-card mode, while SLI scales better than Crossfire and was able to pull ahead by a similar small margin. These results were recorded in the “Assault” level.

The DX10 performance was very similar, though the Radeon HD 3870 appears to drop a few more frames when compared to the GeForce 9600 GT. Furthermore, both configurations failed to deliver playable performance at 1440x900 and even SLI and Crossfire were unable to solve this.
