I'll make sure all the remaining updates get done.

There's no such CMOS setting if you look back over this thread when I tried finding it the first time.

I've finished installing all the updates, I'll have to see how things go from now on, but I did get another BSOD earlier.

I think I'm just going to ask to get the ram swapped for one of the two options on the mobo verified list (There's literally only two options for someone who wants 4gb :(). The only two options are 2x 2048mb ones or 4x 1024 ones. Any benefit in one over the other? Would having 4 just result in extra unnecessary heat or are the 2048 twice as hot anyway?

Two options highlighted in .gif screenshot of the qualified vendor list from the manual. Which is better? Both will work for up to 4gb? I think the kingston is made up of 1024 modules though according to: link So I wouldn't be able to have four would I?

    Inside the 1 MiniDump:
    Dxgkrnl.sys: DirectX Graphics Kernel

I took some time searching around for users receiving this error.
Everything from Drivers (Sound and Video); M/b and Heat were noted.
But the crunch, for just about all users was physical Ram faulty (even if tested ok)

I'd say a god idea, especially after all these issues.
    Regarding 4x1Gig or 2x2Gig I'd say 1Gig in each.
Now I agree this will generate more heat and power, but if 1 of you Ram cards become faulty, you are only losing 1Gig of Ram and not 2Gig. Also many boards work only on 1Gig max in each slot, so this is why they generally sell more of them.

    Replace the Ram.

Okay, once again, much appreciated. I'm going away for the weekend tomorrow afternoon, but I'll phone up the place where I got the PC and ask them to try get it replaced. The kingston ram as 2gb seem to be 1x1024 cards, but my mobo doesn't seem to support for of them. On the other hand, the corsair option supports all four slots, but I couldn't even find it on their site. Hopefully they'll be able to get the corsair in stock.

Any of the other options fair brands? Not sure I'd be able to get them locally, but it's worth asking if any of them are worth getting.
