    Sony Vaio Laptop Need help repairing

    Hi everyone.

    I have a laptop, which has got some problems instead of me wanting to invest in a new laptop or netbook. I would rather make it work, because I am a University student and am low on cash.

    The laptop is a Sony Vaio X505 it was given to me by my brother. So the problem with this one is the backlight / inverter has stopped working.

    I would like someone to point me in the right direction as I dont know what would work on it because it is to complex to open and would rather not open it unless i found a replacement backlight.
