Mostly it's appliances, big screen TV's or cheap tech junk (I would never spend more than $19.99 on a Fitbit).

Thing is: how many TVs can you sell us? Unless we are replacing a TV, there's no need to shop for a new one - and each unit typically lasts more than 80,000 hours. .

Bottom line: shopping was down in 2015 and it's down in 2016 (I've already seen reports). That's why the "sales" have effectively been extended till tuesday.

People with houses drive the consumer market and in order to have houses, you need to have jobs. The job market is down and housing purchases are as well. The liars in media claim "jobs are great" but:

#1 part time work is replacing full time.
#2 Obamacare forces employers to cover healthcare if you work "full time" (40+ hours) so what do they do? They hire you for fewer hours to cover themselves and then rely on welfare to make up the difference.

I went shopping on Black Friday and snagged a two Craftsman snowblowers (marked down to $399 from $700) and a big tool chest for my Hellcat and Jeep SRT's wheel tools.

I noticed - even at 11AM, there really weren't a lot of people shopping.

some say many of them stayed home. I believe that when final counts are done, we'll see the truth, consumer spending was less than last year.

They can't even get us to buy extra peripherals for game consoles: I buy my games as DLC from my bed.

Unfortunately this is for only an individual router, not a set of three. A three pack is $400, down from $500. Love the idea of these mesh routers, but still way too expensive for me.

Your way wrong... "According to Adobe, Black Friday set a new record by topping the $3 billion mark to reach $3.34 billion, a more than 21 percent growth year over year. The shopping holiday was the first in retail history to drive over one billion dollars in mobile revenue at $1.2 billion, Adobe added."
The average person spent less about $289 but that's only cuz the deals were really good. Target had 55" 4k TV for only $249!!! That's way cheaper than last year.
