I installed a third ram stick (1gig)
I heard that my XP pro will take more than it needs and I followed a suggestion to setup the Boot.ini with a /3GB switch and saved. So far so good.
when I reboot, I notice the computer is not recognizing the drivers for my 8800GTS.(169.21v) I go back and take the /3GB off and reboot and the drivers come back. Is there anything I can do to have the /3GB switch and drivers work?

And why do you want the /3GB switch? Do you have any programs that require more than 2GB of RAM? Only programs compiled especially to take advantage of the extended address space can make use of it. AFAIK only database engines and other rather exotic programs have this feature.

Always research the "tweaks" random people tell you to apply. More often than not they don't work, work only in special circumstances or even make things worse.
