Heres the deal, the only motherboard I can get that is compatible with my system has only 1 ide channel. This is no big deal but I was hoping to keep my IDE drive as backup... Is it possible to connect 3 IDE devices to one IDE channel? I already have 2 optical drives that take up both slots...

Is there some sort of adaptor you can purchase?

Although I appreciate your input, I dont need any suggestions on another motherboard I should get, as I stated i can only get this one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121035

It would be safer and more convenient to use a PCI ATA controller card from a decent brand manufacturer (Promise is the only decent one still selling non-RAID ards AFAIK). This way you can keep your SATA ports free, there is less chance of incompatibilities and you have more flexibility.
