4GB RAM not showing anymore on Windows 32-bit

I have a a 32 bit windows vista with 4gb RAM i recently did a system restore and when i checked out the system setting my ram had changed to 3gb. I have 2 DDR2 chips each one is 2 gb i dont know why the other gig is not showing up. I understand that 32 bit os cant use 4gb RAM but before i did the system restore it displayed 4gb RAM.

Thank you in advance for helping or at least trying to.

Who makes the computer or system board?

Carefully remove and reseat everything once more...
The problem you describe is not uncommon... but usually can be blamed on the system board, or the drivers. But the fact that it reported 4 GB before puts that aside.
Do you have any gray, yellow, or red flags anywhere in your device manager report. It is possible that one driver is not yet installed... Chipset, CMSDK, Device Drivers, System Firmware, System Utilities, or Systems Management.
