    I guess that's the limitation of your system now.

    you dont have any inputs that says IN.

    all you have is Audio OUT & Video OUT.

    yes,you need to get new PC speakers (instead of DVD player)
    with built-in amplifier,5.1 or 7.1 ch of course.& get a nice 8 ch
    PCI sound card as well.

    Wrong device

    Isn't this about 5.1 surround ?
    It' got nothing to do with video connections.
    You should have another like that for the speakers to connect.
    Read you sound cards diagram.not your video's.
    And your speakers diagram.

    Heres a better one

    You should have similar diagrams if you have 5.1 speakers.
