Hi! I'm creating this thread for members that log on the forum and haven't found their way around the forum yet. If they click on Windows they will hopefully see this thread and I'm hoping it will help someone.
Windows has several ways to get your PC up and running when you have a issue.
When you boot into the Advanced Startup mode, you will find several options that can help you fix problems. Here's a good link by HTG that explains this really well. It's a good place to start.

Here's a tip if Windows won't boot!
If your PC isn’t loading Windows 10 and you don’t have the operating system installation files, you can use the following trick.

  1. Start your computer and follow the POST, when Windows should begin loading, press the power button to shutdown your computer.

  2. Repeat the previous step twice, and in the third restart the operating system should enter into the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE), where a number of diagnostics will be performed to try fix any booting issues, but you will also get an option to access the Windows Startup Settings.

  3. Here's 6 ways to recover W10. They are listed in the order that I would try. Hope this helps someone. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415/windows-10-recovery-options

Hi Here's another way to recover W10. If you can boot into Windows. "Fresh Start" will give you the best W10 install that you can get, if you're having problems that you just can't seem to solve.;)https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...defender-track-your-device-performance-health
PS You will have to be using Windows Defender as your Anti-Virus program. "Fresh Start" is what I would call the nuclear option when you have problems that you just can't solve, and you've tried all the suggestions on help forums. This will Get-Er -Done . Please read carefully before you decide to use this option.
PS I'm here to help W10 users with things I have learned. I'm not here to cause trouble or to convince you to upgrade to W10. I think I understand W10 pretty well, and hoping I can help members here on TS that are running W10 and have questions and issues.

I have a lot of clients and friends who mistakenly ran Windows 10 as an upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 who are living with
issues this would solve if they weren't so lazy.

Hi Thank you for your reply! A clean install is the best windows install you can get!;)

My approach is to recovery is:
  1. resolve issues found in the Eventvwr if booting is possible
  2. boot into Safe Mode to see if anything works
  3. then to reach for a trusted System Restore point and
  4. lastly to find my backup CDs and go to work with them
