The ASROCK DUAL 775-VSTA hardly qualifies as a crappy board. ;)

Its pretty pricy for an AGP board though, i'm guessing that PCI E will support many more different Video Cards then AGP slots will in the future.

4 screens, i guess it would look like you were pro 1337 but i'd rather buy 1 high quality big screen then 4 mediocre ones.

The DUAL 775-VSTA supports AGP and PCI-E cards, besides supporting DDR and DDR2 RAM as well. Looking at it that way, the price is justified.

Holy crap it supports 2 memory types. If that works that board is really nice but if you put in two different types of memory wouldn't the speeds be way off and they would clock different times. Which would cripple your RAM wouldn't it? or is it just that good.

You can only use DDR or DDR2, you can't mix both i.e. at any given moment, both DIMM slots can only be occupied by either DDR or DDR2 RAM, not both.

I would not buy a video card just for DX10,

The 8600 is unplayable and the 8800 struggle. I'd go for the better DX9 card (7900gs.)

I had a 775Dual-VSTA--I sold it for $20. It worked fine, nothing special really. It has been replace with the ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA with a Ultra chipset that VIA officially supports 1066MHz FSB CPUs with.

    Four monitor app-setup:
    Azureus - Windows - AIM + IE7/Firefox/Safari/Opera - Game

Or... some damn good widescreen. Can anyone say 180-degree FOV?

Most of them would have to be singleplayer. Or turnbased.

will your computer let you do that...eh whatever if you have to play 4 games at once i guess you could, i would prefer to only play 1 game at once, but i'm just a normal person..

will we be able to play direct x 10 games on the 7900 GS?

both the cards cost the same, but I want a card that will allow me to play battlefield 2, aoe3, the new empire earth 3, and world in conflict flawlessly and without any lag.

Is the 7900 GS the answer?

Early dx10 games you will be able to rune with dx9 fine because there aren't many features on ds10 yet. get a 7900 gs ko.

I have 375 Watt powersupply on my dell 9150.

will 7900 GS work? It says on their website, for gainward 7900 GS that you need 400 watt minimum.

What cards will work on 350 - 375 Watt power supply?
