I just help set up a neighbors new HDD and upgrade them to XP. For payment they gave me their old K6 machine. Well i have got it all assemled and in order here are the specs.
AMD K-6 300MHz
64 MB PC100 RAM
4 GB seagate HDD
12x CD Rom drive
Floppy
Well after putting it all togther, i booted up (the HD already had 98 on it) and it goes through normal boot, and then a black screen that says Windows 98 is starting DOS then i get C:\Windows DOS screen. I have no disks or anything of the sort. I can get to the utilitys, (FDISK REGEDIT) stuff like that. IS there somthing that i could put in the DOS to make it boot, or do i need to reformat...
