9800 gtx size

G-Day, i have an antec sonata 3 and was wondering if a 9800 gtx would fit? I currently have a hd3870 and i am aware that the 9800 is a lot bigger but so far i have heard that it will fit and that it wont fit but am just wondering if anyone can tell me for sure?

I don't know exactly what card you're looking at, but, XFX's 9800GTX has the dimensions of 10.5in L x 3.93in H x 1.26in D. Grab a tape measurer or ruler and see how much clearance you've got.

i've got exactly 11in or 28 cm between the back of the case and the hdd bays

Welp, if you happen to be buying the XFX 9800GTX you're set. Otherwise, you might want to either post the exact card you're looking at, or, take a look at the manufacturer's website for more information.

I can't find the exact dimensions of Galaxy's 9800GTX and their site (www.galaxytech.com) hates me; It hangs while loading.

Either try and get in touch with them through thier website (if it will load for you), choose another manufacturer, or put your luck to the test .
