  1. A friend of mine took some pictures of her sons birthday but as she was trying to upload hem to facebook I think it was, the thing froze. I just tried to save them to my laptop but was unable to. So my question is, can recuva be used to do such or should she take it to the store & get it fixed?
Its a Nikon DX camera & the other card she has look like his

Worth a try. That is all I can say. Try a different machine before giving up as well. It could be a glitch with the one machine.

Does the camera still recognize the images? If not then I don't see how anything can be done.

Of the two folders on it, I was able to "see" the pictures in the other folder BUT, they couldn't be saved.

I might give it a try that app later. I just followed the instructions in recuva but it couldn't find the portable device (camera pics). I went to C:Drive but didn't see it so maybe the card is shot?

@cliffordcooley , thank you for your assistance. I wasn't able to recover any pictures using either program so I've returned it to the owner. Have a great 4th & be safe. :)
