A simple question about MS computers

Ok, is there any specific amout of times a Windows pc can be returned to factory settings? I'm not talking about any specific computer, just computers in general. Thank you.

No limit (just until the hardware give up!)

Yes, it has no limit, but I guess there is a limit to the times you can re-install a modern MS OS. I've heard you have to request an Installation-Count Reset or something like that.
