A weird message dont know what to do

    my wife drop my laptop and now i get this message this error can be caused by unplugging a external hard drive wile in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or ce rom drive that is failing then is says make sure any removable is connected then restart computer. i can hear the hard drive work but the cd drive dosnt what do i do

    If you are really comfortable with your laptop and there is no warranty on it, attempt to take it apart and make sure all of the connections are secure (starting with your CD/DVD drive since you say it no longer works).

    If you still have a warranty on it then I suggest you get it serviced so you do not damage it further should you not do it properly.

    dropping a laptop can cause all kinds of problems. Sometimes permanent. I would start by reseating all the components, hard drive, ram, CD player.... after that there is not much else to do except get an insurance repair or replacement.
