AC97 Audio Configuration trouble

    Okay I installed it, but after that my computer restarted and then my sound device says it dosen't work. I even used another one and it wouldn't work either, any suggestions. I tried uninstalling it, but I couldn't find any file not even it's .exe file.

    (FYI: I have a Dell AS501 soundbar)

    Check out this thread for a similar problem with ac97 audio drivers. Drivers worked in a fresh install of XP, but there was no audio when re-installed in a working copy of XP. This situation involved differing flavors of the ac97 audio drivers. The method used tracked down all the software programs listed in the device driver list for the audio.
