  1. hello i just recently reinstalled windows xp pro, with sp3 on my computer.
before i did i had audio and the program that was used was NVIDA.
But EVEREST assures me that that hardware it picks up is for AC97 driver. Upon installing AC97 driver, my computer crashes and restarts. Here is some information that may be of assistance

error message; " The system has recovered from a serious error "

this is the computer management system log.
    Product: Windows Operating System

    Source: System Error
    Version: 5.2
    Symbolic Name: ER_KRNLCRASH_LOG
    Message: Error code %1, parameter1 %2, parameter2 %3, parameter3 %4, parameter4 %5.

here are the stats from EVEREST about my mother board.

    Motherboard Name Intel Brownsville D845GBV

    Intel 82801DB ICH4 - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-1] PCI

Under Windows Audio tab in everest ther e is no devices.

Installing NVIDA notheing happens. AC97 crashes my pc.
When restarting my computer it picks up new hardware. Then reconises it as AC97. but then doesnt install propelly.
    can somebody please help.
