  1. Loged in as ADMIN I tried to remove the XP OS via safe mode then C:\ del windows.
I got the first option to say y/n When I hit Y I got C:\ windows\SET3.tmp access denied.
    And C:\ windows\SET7.tmp access denied.
Any ideas why the Admin cannot delet the os? Thanks

    You what now?

You cannot delete Windows whilst being in Windows (including Safe Mode)
You may not even be able to delete an installation of Windows on another drive (permission issue)

The only way to delete Windows is to format Windows
You can format Windows by booting from your Windows CD and then selecting format (or ideally remove partition)
Obviously all Windows system files and data on C drive will be removed from doing this

You can always plug you drive to another computer and delete what you want from there.
Deleting windows while that windows is in use is not an option.
