    i start up my computer but once its loaded the screen stays blank. what do i do?

    Try booting into Safe Mode by pressing F8 repeatedly as the laptop begins to boot. On the black screen you should see startup options (if you are lucky) and select VGA Mode... Reboot. How long has this blank screen been happening? Did you download anything that might have caused this?
