Apple is going to have to come out with a "macbook lighter than air" if they still want to compete in the ultra thin category now. I would never pay $400 more just for a different OS. I have a hard enough time paying just $30 for an upgrade from windows 7 home premium to professional (student price, if your wondering where you can get the upgrade for $30)
  3. This looks good. I don't mind paying $40 more to bump the 20GB SSD to 40GB (I am not willing to pay more than $2/GB at this point).

This might make Apple more popular by forcing them to lower their prices. Overall, competition is great for consumers.
  4. Regarding my previous comment aobut 20GB to 40GB SSD upgrade, I forgot that Intel has SRT that uses the SSD as a cache (hybrid) to the HDD. So, 20 GB is plenty. Nice job, Acer. Now, bring down the price a bit and it would be even more awesome.
  5. Does the Aspire use Intel's SRT or some other caching solution?
