Acer8920g Blank screen

    Wondering if you can help me, i've got an Acer 8920g, was working fine until I switched it on and the screen was blank, shining a torch I can make out images, that was 2 weeks ago, it now woks but goes off intermitantly, is this the cold cathode?

    There is probably a damaged wire to the LCD inverter. The wires usually get pinched by the top cover hinges over time. If you are familiar with repairing laptops, this is a fairly easy thing to repair. If your not familiar, you will need to take it in for repair
