Acpi.sys problem

ok i just bought a 1gig stick of ram. to use in my dell.
but when i installed it my pc stop work. i put my old 512 stick back in.
and now i get a acpi.sys error whenever i start my pc.
whats causing it.

please help.

i have windows xp.

acpi.sys indicates Advanced Configuration and Power Interface

i suggest you reseat ram to different slots.
