  1. i wanna add more ram to one of the computers in my house.. currently it has http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227246&cm_re=ocz3g13332gk-_-20-227-246-_-Product

the above ram has 9-9-9-26 timing with 1.7voltage

    im looking to add http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227479

this ram has same frequency but it says the timing is 9-9-9-20 and the voltage is 1.65v

is the 1.7 voltage value right? i feel that they have possibly made a mistake on newegg. also how would the timing difference affect performance.

the info on newegg is right. i think it would be ok to get the ram you linked and use 9-9-9-26 timing with 1.7voltage with all ram in the BIOS setting but please let someone else comment on this first before you buy the ram. i haven't tired this before

or are you just going to use the new ram only. in that case everything will be fine. just when you install the new ram make sure to reset the bios
