Adding RAM?

I've been thinking about adding a gig of the prescribed Corsair RAM on Newegg for my Hp Slimline s7713w. I remember seeing something about the motherboard being some kinda ASUS but I dont fully remember the name. I just wanna know if this is okay and if I would have any problems cuz I'm a big newb when it comes to the inside of PC's.

By the way the machine has never been opened and everything is still as it was prepackaged. I've been running Vista pretty good on 512mb but the gig on Newegg is 17 FREAKING dollars so I cant pass this up

Kingston's memory configurator says your computer uses DDR2-533 memory, 256 - 1 GB modules, so it should be fine (faster modules such as DDR2-800 just operate slower).

It would work better if you added two of those 1 GB modules though, as it would operate in dual channel mode. You'd have to take the old 512M out, of course.
