The iphone has become very popular, here in Mexico you can see them everywhere but I think they are really overpriced for what they are, I have an ipod touch and I just paid 1/4 of what an iphone with less GB costs, here is is about 1000 US dollars and that's for the 16 GB 3g, NOT the 3gs :S, ja I know ypu can do lots of thing with that phone but I really don't think it is worth its price.

I think the iPhone contributes to the global market, because as most of you have aluded to, it is the first smart-phone for the masses... easy to use, stylish, from a big-name (Apple) and fairly cutting-edge, albeit, AT&T doesn't do very well and it is overpriced.

Once new patents for various ways to do multitouch break-through, the iphone will be dead.

i really am very surprised i always knew that the iphone was a great product but there are also many other phones in this segment from established companies such as nokia, sony ericsson, htc, blackberry etc and 50% is a huge chunk of usage hope apple will keep its customers happy byproviding them good support for their phones.

Well duh, Apple makes an unrivaled phone. But I think Apple's share is going to decrease soon if they dont get cracking on some new features.
