ADSL light keeps on flashing

Hi all, its my first time here. After racking my brains over this probelm and after spending literally hours on the phone with belkin and my ISP; I have not resolved my problem. So I come the you the internet pros.

I have a very simple Belkin ADSL modem with wirless G-Router (F5D7632-4).
The problem is that the ADSL light persists in flashing, regardless of having a good line, brand new micro filters, and new cabling. All brought and checked to rectify the problem.

There isn't a problem witht the line as I'm currently using the ADSL modem provided by my ISP, and the internet is working fine.

There isn't anything wrong with the router as I even went out purchaced a new router (Belkin again) and it had the same problem as my current router.

I went to the lengths of even reinstalling windows to see if that worked, but no, the problem persists.

As I have already mentioned I got new microfilters and new ethernet cables to see if they were a problem but they weren't.

I've reseted, configered.... bascially done everythign and now I'm out of ideas.

I've been using this router for a good year now, and i've had no complaints, but this problem has come out of no where.

Can anyone help me? It would be much appreciated.

so what's the point of your posting here? is there a problem to be solved or you
just don't like the flashing light?

No I should clear up.. My internet is working fine with my ADSL modem provided by my ISP.

However when I connect the phone line to the Belkin router The ADSL light flashes hence forth i am unable to establish a connection and get onto the internet. This is stopping me from Networking and wireless connectivity around the house.

Thanks for pointing that out, and helpin clear things up a bit.

connect the filter at the wall plate, not near the phone -- try just one phone at a time.

connect the phone; test the internet; dial a number and test again.
move to the next phone and repeat.

the last phone that interferes has a bad filter.

Yep, was advised to try that by my ISP, all filters were working.

Man, I sure get confused by your posts; If the filters are working, then the
Internet connection should be ok -- when do you experience the drop out,
when the connection is made or the phone is in use?
Is this a wireless 2.4ghz phone set??

Sorry about that...

The connection doesn't work whenever I try and connect up to my Belkin router. Other than that everything else is fine.

Whenever I try and connect up my Belkin, the ADSL light flashes. Even though the phones and all the filters are fine, as well as the settings in my default gateway.

The wierd thing is, that the connection is fine and internet works perfectly whenever I use my old router, which is not wireless.

Hello,

Did you ever find out what was causing your new Router to not sync with your DSL and keep flashing?

I am having a similar problem where my old Router connects OK but a new Roter does not.

I checked the new Router at a friends place and it works there - so I know the Router isn't faulty - but it doesn't connect at my place.

Many thanks.

Cal
