ADVENT7204 power light on but nothing

    hi all got advent 7204 I was told it has faulty screen but also its got no harddrive or ram in it I put ram in it but still only the green power light comes on for a second or 2 I head I think its the disc drive like its loading then nothing no fan on nothing. also the battery light flashes orange but could that be coz im not using the right made charger for it at moment as I dont have that. is motherboard dead or what else can I try (thanks)

    Yes, it is most likely the motherboard. Have you removed the hard drive, and maybe swapped the memory to see if anything appears on the screen during boot up?

    na no hard drive when got it and not got 1 spare that would fit but tried memory but nothing
