After a good laptop no more than $600?

hi im after a good laptop no more than $600 to do my every day things
but has to be good enough to withstand lots of music
and a little bit of games

Very pleased with it for the money. It runs games okay, for example Sims 2 fine, though obviously you're not going to be able to play Crysis or whatever on it!

it is about $600 i wasn't sure because the website has it's price in £.
it has 2gb of ram and 250gb hard drive.
