  1. i chat on aim and one day i got ad in my profile and i cannot get rid of it. in it, it says happy holidays and a link that leads to buddypicture.net

i've tried a lot of programs to get rid of that but it only gets rid of the ad temporary. when i sign back in, the ad is still in my profile. it's not really an ad, it just takes over my profile and i cannot change it. do you know any programs or have any recommendations that will get rid of it permanently? i dunno how to explain this, are my descriptions vague?

The new version of AIM has spyware bundled with it. I would recommend you downgrade to an older version of AIM, as I tried to remove the spyware using Spybot but my AIM was no longer operable.

Once again...another reason why I HATE AOL...the stuff they bundle with their software is just silly, and trying to uninstall stuff sometimes requires an act of congress...or someone as smart as StormBringer...
