All desktop audio plays fast, until I start a youtube video.. and put it on pause... then all other audio also normalizes. So in order to listen to an mp3, watch a movie, or anything like that.. I need to have a youtube video (or a adobe web flash video) running.
Computer games are exempt from this phenomena and exhibit only normal audio behavior. Thats why I wrote "Desktop audio."
Soundcard: Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatality
Windows XP Pro SP3
Mobo: Asus Striker Extreme
CPU: Intel Extreme QX6700
2gb ram
etc..
The onboard audio is disabled in BIOS btw.
This is a very weird problem. Anyone have a tip?
