All kinds of screw ups

  1. So I've searched high and low and tested the limits of my ability to tinker with the inner voodoo of Windows Vista, and still no luck. So I cast myself before the technical experts in hopes of finding some salvation.

When I open the folder options to click "Show Hidden Files", click ok / apply, nothing happens. Go back, the option is unclicked as though I did nothing. I've tried changing all the default and checked values to various different numbers and probably have it screwed up worse than when I started.

I've tried AdAware, run McAfee scans, and still nothing. Attached is my HijackThis log in hopes someone else can make sense of it.

    Thanks,
    -Kevin

    HJT looks OK!

Take the time to do Do the TechSpot 8 steps: http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic58138.html

You can do the Quick Scans and post the logs.

If you are clean the we will use some tools contained in SAS to correct your problem.
