I got a virus into my pc which caused this problem , none of my drives were opening after pressing the enter but i can open them by right clicking & selecting open.
I installed an antivirus (AVG) ,it removed the virus/worm but now on pressing enter it says
"Please go to the control panel to configure and install system components"
I tried to look for autorun.inf which is mentioned in some other posts here but I could'nt see the hidden files as after i change it to "Show ALL Files" in tools it again changes to donot show hidden files itself.
