    I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a Kindle and it looks like this might be the time. The ads are unobtrusive enough to be easily ignored. That's worth the $50 price drop to me. :)

    Did the article say it was always on? In the very least its user controlled. I personally don't see why 3g would even be connected unless you are actually accessing the online store.
