  1. Im going to buy a new computer soon, and im not worried so much about the price of the processor, but which processor will perform faster for playing games? an AMD 64 FX processor, or an Intel pentium4 570 processor w/ht technology? (AMD 64 FX 2.6 ghz, intel pentium4 570 3.8 ghz)

Assuming all other hardware is matched or comparable, the Athlon FX is definately going to be the better buy. Better overall performance, integrated FSB, higher FSB, a much cooler processor, and of course the coolness factor.

    I agree

I agree with Soul, much better performance in games with the FX over the intel. Plus like he says the coolness factor of having a 1 of 3 in a line of cpu's that live and breath FRAG FEST !!!!

go with the a64 fx. said intel model throws off insane amounts of heat and lags in gaming performance.
