  1. i got this computer 2 days ago with a amd athlon 64 3200+ 939.
    i made sure to check it wasnt overclocked it looked ok to me.

    Multiplier = 10
    FSB = 201

    Equaling at total of 2.01 ghz is this correct for my processor?. i have friends with the same processor with 754 not 939 and they both have different clockings to mine 2.09 and 2.21ghz. what is going on?? :mad:

    Confusing, I know. Here is a good chart. There are 3 different Athlon64 3200 cpus for socket 939 alone! Crazy.

    http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/200...l_cpu_charts-19.html#overview_of_all_amd_cpus

    They all are the same frequency, but as you can see from that chart, the socket 754 newcastle 3200 (sounds like the one your friend has) is 2200 Mhz. Then to really confuse things, the socket 754 clawhammer 3200 is the same as the 939s (2000 Mhz).
