AMD socket 754 vs. socket 939 - what's the difference?

    I see the front side bus speed is increased,not sure exactly what advantages
    that has either. pls help a new guy. =)

    performance about the same. 939 has more future compatibility.

    Sempron, Athlon 64, Athlon FX or Opteron
    Depending on the Chip U Want also has a impact
    on what socket u need

    Thx every1. I am sold on the 3200+ 939 with the winchester core. so....
    now i gotta choose a mobo, i want alot of expandability for ram and i want potential to run dual processors in future. can i do this?

    No. Only Opteron 2xx and 8xx have multiprocessing support.
