AMD to increase top Athlon II X2, X4 speeds by 100MHz

    Fudzilla reports that AMD is preparing to offload two speedier dual and quad-core processors, one being Regor-based while the other is Propus-based.

  2. Pretty sure the Athlon II doesn't have any L3 cache. Perhaps you're getting things mixed up between the Athlon II X2 which has 1MB of L2 cache per core and the Athlon II X4 which has 512KB of L2 cache per core.

    The Athlon II is revamped or bin reject Phenom I architecture that has bad, fused, or disabled L3 cache. perhaps this enabled L3 is a selling point for the new Athlon II's
