  1. Hey guys,
I have been doing a little searching and I found out that the AMD APUs can work with other AMD video cards, but have to be in the 6000 series. Does this mean that if I added a 6990 or 6950 it would be compatible with the APU?

no but i am also curious since crossfire x allows u to crossfire any cards from within the same generation that would be interesting to hybrid crossfire the apu with another 6 series card.

Yeah, I heard that too, which would be cool if it worked. I would like to buy an APU build for my little brother. If there is the option of upgrading in the future in terms of GPU, then I am keen to buy it.

if the only graphics u got for the build was the apu then the only way to upgrade graphics is to replace the APU, u can add graphics in card form though.
