Amidst controversy, Green Man Gaming now discloses key sources

Been using them for years. Took awhile for me to bother since I wanted to learn about them from Valve/Steam's prospective, which was good.

Although honestly I don't pay much attention/merit to what these CS representatives say. Yes, of all people, they should be able to tell us this info. But in my experience, you can ask this question again, and get an entirely different response, especially since these authorized reseller lists are very rarely updated and or fleshed out.

I also have to question why if they aren't an authorized reseller, why no keys at all from them appear to ever be banned. A lot of CoD keys for instance must be sold by them; a lot of them I hear and see see being banned/removed when bought from any of the random sites, but I've never heard of problems from GMG.

GMG is great as they often run discounts. Just search online for discount codes. For example, they have a code that gives 20% off in November if you include it while buying. I bought Fallout 4 that way and the game is automatically installed under Steam.
I've bought a few games off them like Borderlands 2 and The Witcher 3. No problems with keys. I don't know where this article or the reddit claims are coming from.

Assuming you are Irish, do you remember the whole fiasco with the Garth Brooks concerts where they sold tickets for a concert that didn't exist? That was perfectly legal. I'm fairly sure airlines also allow flights to be overbooked on the assumption that some people will cancel.
While it's not ethical, it is probably not illegal. They may have been expecting to receive a new batch of keys that never arrived or kept getting delayed.
In my own experience, they have not let me down and I don't personally know anyone affected in that way. Then again, I don't do pre-orders any more.

I use cdkeys.com to get a lot of my steam games and on the whole they have all worked fine. Just one occasion I bought elder scrolls online for the PC. I played about a month and then I got an email from Bethesda to say they were going to close my account because of using an unauthorized key. I logged with with cdkeys.com and they gave me a full refund (was amazed I was in a Live chat at 23:00 and got the refund in about 30 mins). Cdkeys were very mithed as they said they buy direct from Zenimax so maybe it's more to do with a communication error between parents and subsidies than anything dodgy?
