Just now when my Avast pop up notified me of its update, it also said to update java asap. I clicked on it & it took me here http://mashable.com/2013/01/13/java-exploit/
My java has been recently updated as of today & my plug ins are disabled.Anything I need to know or do?

You tried reboot & reinstall? For some reason, while the install was successful, Java plugin was still disabled in FF. I reboot and reinstall. Now, it's working.

The only java thing in FF I have is this

After reboot, the above is the only thing java showing in FF.
    Same is disabled in SeaMonkey
