Annoying mouse

Hello everyone.

Here is the problem.

At random my mouse will dissapear. I don't do anything to make it do this it just happens.

- When I click when it dissapears, it seems like the mouse is bound in one of the four corners. This is actually the 2nd time writing this post because it dissapeared and then i clicked, closing the window without knowing it.
- It will be stuck in the corner for a period of around 10 seconds while I frantically move the mouse around and click like a maniac.
- I have scanned with Trend Micro antivirus/spyware to no avail

I have just turned down my resolution a notch to see if this will help. Anyone else heard of this. It's not like I can't use a computer I just passed my 70-270 exam today to become an MCP.

Has anyone heard of this happening before?

edit: may not be THE answer BUT is worthwhile checking - also, clean the mouse base.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've come to the conclusion that the mouse is failing so I'll just have to go buy a new one.

It's around 2 years old and I've smacked er up a bunch of times so I guess I could have saw it coming.

Perhaps it's just an accessibility problem.
I've seen it once, while i was looking through the screen saver tab on a windows 98.
Maybe this will help.
