Another question on SpeedFan if anyone can help?

Although I haven't changed any settings with Speedfan; if I start it up and/or close it down, once the fan starts starts spinning it goes at full pelt and does not stop.
If anyone has used this utility before and knows it well your help would of course be greatly appreciated.

Go to configure>options tab>uncheck "set fans to 100% on exit".
