My Acer Aspire One D255E notebook is only a couple of months old and has started turning itself off unexpectedly.
First I noticed when I closed the lid it started to turn off rather than just sleep. When I opened it up I would get a message on a black screen giving me the option to restart or delete something to restart (sorry i didn't really understand this message), only the second option worked and just seemed to have the same effect as restarting but quicker!
Now it also turns off randomly when I am using it.
I don't think it is over heating, there is no sign of this. It turns itself back on straightaway without me having to do anything.
The screen just suddenly goes black and has a small white flashing line in the top right corner, then reboots itself, all programs closed and unsaved data lost, but working fine again as though I just turned it on.
I'd be grateful for any advice, thanks a lot
