Anyone know SP2 169. errors when trying to renew the IP

    I am trying to find a site has these errors or anyone know what the errors are when you renew the IP in SP2. Researching this for work. Hope someone can help

    Often that's just the inability to locate the DHCP server. 169.x.x.x IP addresses are Windows assigned IP addresses - not DHCP. It's called an Automatic Private IP Address (APIPA). It could be something as simple as an unplugged/bad ethernet cable to a faulty NIC to not having a valid DHCP server at all. It has nothing to do with SP2, but everything to do with Windows.
