Hi. I need help finding a link to a downloadable driver for running an Ipod Nano on my son's Windows 98 system. :) Is there anyone out there that can help me??

Hmm. I'm going to help, but I'm not entirely sure you are aware of what you are getting into.

iTunes won't run on 98, and therefore you don't have any official route to doing anything with your iPod.

Driver is here: http://www.tipmonkies.com/wp-content/files/iPod-win98.zip As far as I know there is nothing suspicious with that file, but I can't make any promises. At the very least I'd scan that thing with your AV when you get it.

Download this file, and when it’s done unzip it .
Connect your iPod to your PC and wait for the window prompt. Select Search for updated driver (recommended). If this window does not come up, you may need to restart your PC.
Check Specific location and uncheck everything else.
Now choose the folder where you unpacked the driver in step 1. After a short wait, you should have your iPod drive visible under My Computer.

Since you can't run iTunes you are going to have to use an unofficial way to get songs to your iPod. http://www.tipmonkies.com/2005/05/27/use-winamp-to-sync-your-ipod/ is an article on how to do it with winamp. Apparently EphPod also works.

In my breif searching for your answer I also found several mentions of Media Monkey, that may be a good solution once you get the driver thing taken care of.
