I can see it now...over 50,000 people will get their shinny new toy, open it up, think it's God's gift to the world, and then not understand why they can't visit most of their favorite websites. They will then learn that the iPad doesn't support flash (yeah...good move there, Apple) and will either use it for documents, pictures, and illegally downloaded movies, or they will return it.

The iPad is to Apple like Windows Vista was to Microsoft. A time when the developers hang their head in shame for creating a piece of crap, lol.

I was just reading an article yesterday I think about how maybe people don't need a device that has 40000 features and can do all kinds of things. That a lot of people just want a device that does a few things and does them very well. The iPod, iPhone, and probably the iPad do this. Most people aren't 'techies' and get confused if there get to be too many features, or too many menus/configuration options.

I think most of the people that bought one are going to be very pleased with their device, provided there isn't some unforeseen glitches in the hardware.

And since I've posted that I want to make a comment about something that was on the first page, but I didn't think it warranted an entire post just for it. Of those 50,000 preorders, I doubt many (if any) were bulk orders, Apple limited preordering to 2 per person. So to bulk order you'd have to go through quite a bit of hassle to work around that.

Well i think the iPad fever won't be as hot and popular like the iPhone. Appeals to masses afraid not maybe to die hard fans whereas the iPhone was more compact and accessible.
