    I really think it is the opposite. People these days are lazy and want things to "just work" I have supported computer users for about 20 years, I've met about 3 that even know there are keyboard shortcuts. I once met a secretary who had been a windows user for 10 years, and didn't even know about cut and paste. No one wants to learn even the smallest things anymore.
