It’s too early to gauge how successful BB10 will be in turning around the company as the Z10 isn’t even available in all markets yet. A leaked roadmap that recent hit the web showed the company had big plans for the remainder of 2013 and beyond expect there was one big problem: it was all an April Fools' prank.

The Twitter account @BB10Leaks supplied the image you see below which correctly shows the Z10 slated for a Q1 2013 release and the Q10 sometime between Q1 and Q2. What caught the attention of a number of media outlets, however, is what appears to be a tablet called the B10 that’s projected to launch later this fall. Given BlackBerry's lack of success with the PlayBook back in 2011, such a move would be a serious gamble on the brand new platform.

Furthermore, another handset – perhaps even a phablet – was said to be ready at the end of the year or in early 2014 followed by another keyboard-based phone in Q2 2014 known as the R10. In all actuality, a large-screen device would give hardcore tech enthusiasts a serious reason to consider BlackBerry over other Android heavyweights. A device like the R10 could appeal to those that just can’t let the physical keyboard go – we assume there are still many people that fall into this category.

It's too bad the roadmap turned out to be bogus as it would have allowed BlackBerry to position itself to have a solid portfolio by this time next year. Either way, the coming months will be led by the Z10 and the Q10 as BlackBerry continues to try and right the ship.
