Firstly, thanks for taking part and helping me collect data for my project on the potential dangers of becoming addicted to MMORPG's.

Comments: I was an out-of-school-youth for 1 year because of addiction to online games....... I couldn't concentrate on my studies which..... Can't explain it... too long and SAD.

Comments: I would say its just entertaining, i only play games to watch the history, and in very rare cases i keep playing PR games for a time but after a time they join my vault. My favorite is Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

This is way to stuck in online gaming and lack some structural bases and non-Online game questions.

Comments: I have friends that play 5-6 hours a day. I also believe people can become addicted to single player gaming as well. My particular addiction are RPGs. Anything else I can walkaway and not think about them, but RPGs are different for me.

Compulsive behavior is possible to apply to thousands of activities - work, video games, gambling, sports, etc., etc.

I get bored of games extremely quickly and not playing a game for a few weeks or months often later renews my interest in it for a few days.

Why think about playing a game while you're not playing it? I guess if you were curious about how it was made, then that might qualify.

I take issue with question #2. How does being convinced intellectually that a certain activity could possibly be addictive an indicator to your own likelihood of being addicted to said activity?
